Sculpture
Sculpture in the High Museum’s modern and contemporary art collection represents a wide variety of forms and materials that artists have introduced since the 1960s. The collection spans multiple generations and styles, from works in which artists sought to reduce form to its essentials, to those made with found objects, to more classically modeled figurative works. Works by Anish Kapoor in the collection, for example, are fabricated using such materials as powdered pigment and stainless steel to make forms that suggest a profound depth or sense of infinity.
