Romantic Works on Paper

Romantic artists working in Europe in the early 1800s expressed their reverence for nature’s sublime, incomprehensible forces through emotionally fraught imagery. The High’s collection of works on paper from this period includes prints and drawings by Eugène Delacroix, Théodore Géricault, Francisco José de Goya, and John Constable.

We’re reopening to all members and frontline workers July 7–17 and to all visitors on July 18.
