High Museum of Art Online

Event Description

On the last Tuesday of every month, our virtual Teacher’s Lounge is the place to be! Join museum educators online as they do a deep dive into an exhibition, work of art, artist, or theme. These forty-five-minute programs will be interactive and informative—and a chance for teachers to relax while viewing art from their home, car, or classroom!

Faith Ringgold is arguably one of the most famous quilters in history. Her work Church Picnic Story Quilt is a masterful example of her ability to tell a story through traditional quilting techniques and contemporary methods of painting and dyeing. Join us this month to learn more about this incredible textile and the artist who created it.

This event is free, but preregistration is required. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the event. Teacher’s Lounge will not take place in December or May.
