Description
Edgar
Act II, Scene III: “Poor Tom, that’s something yet! Edgar I nothing am.”
Edgar is the Earl of Gloucester’s legitimate son, who through Edmund’s lies is unjustly branded an outlaw by his father. He adopts the guise of a madman named Tom o’ Bedlam and in his wanderings will meet Lear and later his blinded father.
